Five Buddy Punch price points shown as bars for 10 people, from Starter at $68.90 to Pro with payroll at $217.90, under the title Buddy Punch pricing

Short answer on Buddy Punch pricing: it is a per-user price plus a flat $19 monthly base fee, on three plans, with no free plan. For 10 people billed annually that is $68.90 on Starter, $88.90 on Pro and $148.90 on Advanced. Payroll, real-time GPS, onboarding and some reporting are add-ons, so a team that wants payroll should budget about $129 a month more at that size. Full disclosure: we build Wrkbase, and the last section says when it is and is not an alternative.

The three plans

Buddy Punch's pricing page lists three plans, per user per month, plus the $19 monthly base fee on every one. It says annual billing saves up to 18 percent and offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. These are the prices on the page on 31 October 2026.

PlanBilled annuallyBilled monthlyBase fee
Starter$4.99 per user$5.99 per user+$19 a month
Pro (marked most popular)$6.99 per user$7.99 per user+$19 a month
Advanced$12.99 per user$13.99 per user+$19 a month

What each plan includes

GPS on punches is on Starter. Basic geofencing, kiosk (PIN) punch-in and webcam photos on punches start at Pro, which also lists offline mode, QR code scanning, scheduled reports, API and MCP access, and multiple pay periods. Advanced adds advanced reporting, single sign-on and dedicated support. For a field crew that must prove where people clocked in, Pro is the plan that matters.

Add-ons

Several features are priced per user on top of the plan. Real-time GPS is $2 a month on Starter and Pro and included in Advanced. Scheduling is $1 on Starter and included in Pro and Advanced. Advanced reporting is $2 on Starter and Pro. Onboarding, offboarding and tasks is $4, included in Advanced, and the page labels it coming soon. Six-year data retention is $24 a year on any plan.

Payroll is a separate add-on on any plan: $8 per user a month plus a $49 monthly base fee, with tax filing and direct deposit per the page. The page shows the base fee without a dollar sign, so $49 is our reading. For 10 people that is $129 a month on top of the plan.

Who it suits, and where Wrkbase fits

Buddy Punch fits a crew that works away from an office and needs location-verified punches, and it is priced accordingly: the base fee and the add-ons mean the headline per-user price is rarely the whole bill. For cheaper or flat-fee options see Buddy Punch alternatives.

Wrkbase is not built around the punch clock. It has a phone clock with optional location and a weekly rota, but no kiosk mode, webcam photos or geofence tiers, and it does not file payroll taxes. It is an alternative for office and remote teams who used Buddy Punch mainly for attendance and pay records: attendance, timesheets, tasks, leave, team chat and payroll tracking are in one workspace, free for up to 5 people and $8 per member per month on Team, which is $80 for 10 people. The line-by-line version is on Wrkbase vs Buddy Punch.

How much does Buddy Punch cost for 10 people?

Billed annually, October 2026: Starter $68.90 a month, Pro $88.90 and Advanced $148.90, each including the $19 monthly base fee. Monthly billing adds $1 per user. Payroll is a separate add-on at $8 per user plus a $49 monthly base fee, so $129 more for 10 people.

Does Buddy Punch have a free plan?

No. Buddy Punch offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and every plan is paid after that.

What does the Buddy Punch base fee cover?

A flat $19 a month is added to every plan on top of the per-user price. It is why a team of 5 on Starter pays $43.95 rather than $24.95.
