Side by side

Which one fits which team

Wrkbase vs ClickUp

ClickUp: Task and project management

Full comparison
CL

Pick ClickUp if

Deep, configurable project management (custom views, dependencies, docs) is the priority, and attendance and payroll live elsewhere on purpose.

W

Pick Wrkbase if

You want tasks, attendance, and payroll in one system, without a separate time tool and a separate payroll tool to keep in step.

Wrkbase vs monday.com

monday.com: Work management on customizable boards

Full comparison

You want to design your own workflows on customizable boards, across many departments, and HR and payroll already live elsewhere.

W

Pick Wrkbase if

Wrkbase vs BambooHR

BambooHR: A dedicated HR platform

Full comparison
BA

Pick BambooHR if

You need US payroll processed with taxes, benefits administration, or a deep HR system, and task tracking lives in another tool.

W

Pick Wrkbase if

You are a team under 50 that wants HR, attendance, leave, and payroll tracking in the same place as the work, at $8 per member.

Wrkbase vs Homebase

Homebase: Scheduling and time clock for hourly teams

Full comparison
HO

Pick Homebase if

You run a single-location retail or restaurant floor and need a POS integration for clocking in at the register. Wrkbase has no POS integration today.

W

Pick Wrkbase if

You want tasks, time tracking, team chat, payroll, and an AI agent in one price with no per-feature add-ons to keep track of, and you don't need a POS integration.

Wrkbase vs Buddy Punch

Buddy Punch: Time tracking and attendance

Full comparison
BU

Pick Buddy Punch if

Time tracking accuracy is the whole job (GPS, geofencing, kiosk punch, webcam photos) and you already have separate tools for tasks, chat, and payroll.

W

Pick Wrkbase if

You want the clock connected to the actual work (tasks, chat, and payroll in the same place) without stacking per-user add-ons to get there.

Before you choose

What Wrkbase doesn't do

If one of these is a requirement, one of the tools above is the better answer.

  • Payroll covers salaried and hourly staff: a salaried line is the person's salary, an hourly line is their rate times their hours for the period, with overtime paid at your multiplier past a daily threshold, and both take bonuses, commission, and deductions. Hours come from an approved timesheet where there is one and the attendance clock otherwise. Task-timer hours and leave do not change pay. No tax filing, direct deposit, or weekly and double-time overtime rules.

  • No SSO/SAML. The API is small on purpose (tasks, employees, attendance, leads, plus webhooks): no OAuth apps and no ready-made integrations, though Zapier, Make, or your own code can use it. No app-store mobile apps: Wrkbase installs to a phone home screen from the browser and opens to a one-tap clock.

  • Tasks have checklists, templates, and daily, weekly, or monthly repeats, but no dependencies or Gantt charts.

  • Shift scheduling has no overnight shifts, open shifts, shift swaps, or labor-cost forecasting. Automations are one trigger and one action each: no multi-step flows or delays.

  • Reviews are a self review plus a manager review with a 1 to 5 rating: no 360 peer feedback or calibration.

  • Invoices are emailed to the customer as a PDF when sent, but there are no online payment links, card processing, or automatic reminders.
