The follow-up depended on somebody noticing.

What it does not do.
Better to know now than after you have moved your team in.
One trigger and one action per rule: no multi-step flows.
No delays or schedules: a rule acts the moment its trigger happens.
No conditions on labels, and no triggers for lead conversion or new leave requests.
A rule cannot approve leave, change a task status, or move a lead.
Questions worth asking first
What is an automation in Wrkbase?
A rule with one trigger and one action: when this happens, do that. For example, when a task becomes overdue, notify the owner's manager. You build it from dropdowns in Settings. There is no code and no flowchart.
What can start a rule?
Four things: a task changes status, a task becomes overdue, a lead changes stage, or a leave request is approved. Task rules can also be limited to one priority or one department.
What can a rule do?
Five things: notify someone (the owner, the creator, the owner's manager, or a named person), create a task from a task template, post a message in Team chat, set the task's priority, or reassign the task.
Can a rule do something its author is not allowed to do?
No. A rule acts as the person who last saved it, and their right to do what it does is checked when they save. If that person leaves or is suspended, the rule stops running.
Can two rules set each other off in a loop?
No. No action changes a task's status, a lead's stage, or a leave request, which are the only things that start a rule. One rule can never trigger another.
How do I know a rule ran?
Each rule shows how many times it has run and when it last ran, and every run is written to the audit log.
