Wrkbase APIConnect the tools you already use.A key never sees more than you do.
The Wrkbase API reads your tasks, people, attendance, and leads, and adds tasks and leads. Webhooks send a signed message the moment something happens. Both work with Zapier, Make, or your own code.

History
Create a key for the tool you want to connect.
A chain of steps, replaced by one move.
The old way
- Export a CSV
- Clean it up
- Paste it into the other tool
- Do it again next week
- Miss a week
The two tools were only in step on the day somebody copied the file.
With Wrkbase
Send every new website enquiry to Wrkbase as a lead
Lead created, with a follow-up task for its owner.
One request from your form's server. The key is limited to what its creator can do.
Start to finish,in plain steps.
- 1
Create a key
In Settings, name the key and choose Read only or Read and add. It is shown once, so store it like a password.
- 2
Call the API
Send the key with each request. Lists are paged, and errors come back as a plain message.
- 3
Add a webhook
Give Wrkbase an https address and pick the events you want. Press Send test to check it.
- 4
Watch the history
Each delivery is listed with its result, so a failing connection is easy to spot.
Everything in the API.The full list.
If it is not here, the product does not do it yet.

One record, shared with the rest of Wrkbase.
One database behind every module, so these happen without an export, a sync, or a second tool.

What it does not do.
Better to know now than after you have moved your team in.
No update or delete calls: the API reads, and adds tasks and leads.
No time entries, payroll, leave requests, or chat over the API.
No OAuth apps and no listing in the Zapier or Make directories yet.
Webhook addresses must be https and on the public internet.
Pending retries are not kept through a server restart.
Questions worth asking first
What can the Wrkbase API do?
Read tasks, employees, attendance records, and leads, and create tasks and leads. It is a small, deliberate set for connecting other tools, not a copy of everything the app can do.
How does a key decide what it can see?
A key acts as the person who created it. It can see and do what that person can, and nothing more: if they only see their own tasks, so does the key. A Read only key is refused on anything that adds or changes data.
What do webhooks send?
A signed message to your address the moment something happens: a task is created or changes status, someone signs in or off, leave is approved, or a lead is created or changes stage.
How do I know a webhook really came from Wrkbase?
Every delivery carries a signature: an HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and the body, made with a signing secret only you were shown. Check it before trusting the message, and reject old timestamps.
What if my server is down when an event happens?
Wrkbase tries three times in all: once, then again after 1 second and after 5 seconds. After that the delivery is marked failed. The last 20 deliveries for each webhook are listed under History.
Can I use it with Zapier or Make?
Yes, through their generic webhook and HTTP request steps. There is no Wrkbase app in their directories yet, so you paste the address and key yourself.
Which plan includes the API and webhooks?
