Changelog

This changelog lists what's shipped on wrkbase.app and this site, most recent first. The product itself has been through a much longer build (tasks, payroll, the AI agent, and everything else in the tour above). This log covers what's changed since we started keeping one in public.

Timesheets, shift scheduling, automations, and an API

  • Weekly timesheets fill in from the attendance clock. Correct a day with a reason, submit the week, and a manager approves it or sends it back.
  • Overtime: hours past a daily threshold are paid at your multiplier, and approved timesheet hours feed hourly pay runs.
  • Shift scheduling: build a weekly rota, copy last week, and publish it. Lateness is then measured against each published shift.
  • Wrkbase installs to a phone home screen and opens on a one-tap clock. Sign-in location can be recorded, or required on Team and Enterprise.
  • Automations: when a task, lead, or leave request changes, notify someone, create a task, post in chat, or reassign.
  • Performance now has goals, review cycles with a self review and a manager review, and 1:1 notes.
  • A public API and signed webhooks for tasks, employees, attendance, and leads.
  • The AI agent answers questions from your own records and lists its sources. An Ask AI button is on every page.
  • Task templates, recurring tasks, and adding time to a task by hand.
  • Sign in with an emailed link, and a short guide the first time you open each part of the app.

Hourly pay, custom leave types, and emailed invoices

  • Payroll now covers hourly staff: mark a person as hourly with a rate, and their pay run line is that rate times their attendance hours for the period, editable before approval. Salaried pay is unchanged.
  • Add your own leave types, such as maternity or bereavement leave, next to sick, casual, and unpaid.
  • Sending an invoice now emails the PDF to the customer.
  • Anyone on a different working pattern can have their own hours and working days for attendance.
  • A new workspace starts in your own timezone, date format, and currency instead of UK defaults.

The whole product on the site, and a real look at the app

  • New pages for HR (onboarding, HR letters, org chart, compliance), Leads, and Finance, which had shipped in the product without a page.
  • The homepage now shows the actual app, rebuilt from its own design with sample data, stepping through tasks, the AI agent, payroll, leads, finance, and onboarding.
  • Every feature page lists everything the module does, how it connects to the rest of Wrkbase, who can do what, and what it does not do.
  • New comparisons with monday.com and BambooHR, a glossary of terms, and Help Center answers for HR, Leads, and Finance.

Accuracy pass: payroll, roles, and plans

  • Corrected every place that said logged hours feed a pay run. Payroll is salary-based: attendance, leave, and hours sit on the same employee record for review, but they do not change what anyone is paid.
  • Custom roles are live on every plan (create roles, set permissions per role), so they no longer appear as roadmap. SSO is still roadmap.
  • Enterprise is a self-serve checkout; sales is only for 200+ seats or custom terms. The pricing table now shows Leads and Finance as Team and Enterprise features.
  • Help Center: corrected the default roles (Boss, HR, Manager, Employee) and the full list of report types.

AI agent moved to its own page, now reads files and takes dictation

  • The AI agent is no longer a dashboard card and popup: it now has its own full page with a running conversation, reachable from a dedicated entry in the sidebar.
  • Attach up to three files to an instruction and the agent actually reads them (images, PDFs, and plain text sent as real input, not just a filename); other formats are named but not parsed.
  • Voice dictation via your device's own speech recognition, and the agent now answers a plain question directly instead of forcing everything into a proposed action.
  • Removed the Team Chat and AI agent preview widgets from the dashboard. Team Chat stays at its own page as before, and the AI agent now lives at its own page too.

App moved off its interim port, live chat now goes to WhatsApp

  • The product app now runs on the standard HTTPS port instead of an interim one. Some office/school networks were silently blocking the old port, which read to affected users as being blocked outright.
  • Replaced Crisp live chat with a direct WhatsApp link: fewer moving parts, no cookie banner needed since nothing is tracked anymore.

Accuracy pass, new feature and solution pages

  • Removed every mention of client invoicing: the product dropped that feature, and the site (including four Help Center articles) hadn't caught up.
  • Fixed role naming ("Super Admin" was never a real role) and added the missing HR role to the role showcase.
  • Rewrote Performance, Attendance, Chat, and Salary/Payroll copy to match how those modules actually work today.
  • Reframed SSO and custom roles as roadmap, not shipped, everywhere they were mentioned.
  • Added eight new /features pages (tasks, time tracking, attendance, performance, payroll, chat, AI agent, audit log) and three /solutions pages (small business, remote teams, further education).
  • Combined the site's structured data into one linked graph and added real lastmod dates to the sitemap.

Feature-cycling hero, full SEO layer, live chat

  • Rebuilt the hero around a rotating preview of six real modules instead of a single static board.
  • Added structured data (JSON-LD), Open Graph/Twitter cards, sitemap, and robots.txt for search and answer engines.
  • Installed Crisp live chat with an AI agent trained on our real FAQ and pricing.
  • Added routing, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service pages.

CTAs wired to the live app

  • Every "Start free" and "Sign in" button now points at the real signup and login flows, not placeholders.

Wrkbase rebrand

  • Renamed from Punchloop to Wrkbase and rebuilt the marketing site around the new brand.
  • Introduced motion UI, a mobile navigation menu, and a light theme option.
  • Fixed text contrast issues and protected the hero headline's load performance.

Initial marketing site

  • First public version of the site, covering the core product story and pricing.
