Task completion: 6 of 7 due tasks completed
Every score comes from due tasks completed, lowest first.
A chain of steps, replaced by one move.
The old way
- Collect self-reviews
- Managers fill in forms
- Argue about ratings
- Average them in a sheet
The loudest opinion wins, and the number means something different for every manager.
With Wrkbase
Open Performance
Each score comes from due tasks completed, for the week or the month.
A period with nothing due has no score, so nobody looks perfect for doing nothing.
Start to finish,in plain steps.
- 1
Every task with a due date counts toward the period
As the period runs, each task that was actually due gets tallied automatically against whether it got done on time, with nothing to fill in by hand.
- 2
The period closes, and the score locks
The completion rate becomes that period's number. Per the History behavior below, whatever formula was in effect stays attached to it even if the formula changes later.
- 3
It rolls up from one person to the whole company
The same trend view works at either level, so seeing whether a department is trending up or down doesn't mean reading everyone's individual number one at a time.
- 4
Nothing due means nothing to penalize
A period with zero due tasks defaults to 100, not a blank or a zero. Absence of work isn't scored as failure.
Careful by design,not by policy.
It's throughput against deadlines
100% means everything due got done on time. It doesn't independently judge the quality of the work, and we're not going to pretend it does.
No one can edit it directly
If the underlying task data is wrong, correcting that data is what changes the score, not a manager overriding a number.
Trends, not just a snapshot
See how a person or the whole company is trending period over period, not just where things stand right now.
A snapshot, not rewritten later
A past period's score reflects whatever formula was in effect when it was computed. Changing the formula doesn't quietly rewrite history.

The score4
- 0 to 100, from tasks completed against tasks due in the period
- Smoothed, so one miss on a light week doesn’t sink it
- No score when nothing was due, and that period is left out of averages
- Recalculated every Monday (weekly) and every 1st (monthly)
Where you see it4
- Your own score and its history
- Team view: every member’s latest score, tasks due, tasks completed
- Dashboard: lowest scores this week, top performers, company trend
- Performance report as PDF or Excel
Goals3
- Each person sets and updates their own goals
- Their manager can read them
- Boss and HR can see everyone’s goals
Review cycles6
- Start a cycle for a period: one review for everyone with a manager
- Everyone is notified when it starts
- Self review first, then the manager review
- A 1 to 5 rating from the manager
- Shared with the person when the manager finishes
- Tasks due and completed in the period shown for context
1:1s4
- A dated record between a manager and one person
- Shared notes and next steps
- Private manager notes the other person never sees
- Visible only to the two people in it
One record, shared with the rest of Wrkbase.
One database behind every module, so these happen without an export, a sync, or a second tool.
Every role seeswhat it should.

What it does not do.
Better to know now than after you have moved your team in.
Reviews are a self review and a manager review: no 360 peer feedback, calibration, or saved drafts.
Doesn’t weigh hours, attendance, or task priority.
Scores can’t be edited by hand; fix the task data instead.
Worth knowing before you switch
Does the score factor in hours worked?
No, deliberately not. An earlier version was weighted by hours logged and it punished people for finishing early, so the score is now purely the completion rate of what was actually due.
Can a manager manually adjust someone's score?
No. If the underlying task data is wrong, correcting that data is what changes the score, never a manager overriding the number directly.
Is performance scoring available on the Free plan?
No. It's part of Team and Enterprise, alongside payroll. Free covers tasks, time tracking, attendance, chat, and reporting, not scoring.
Does Wrkbase do performance reviews?
Yes. The Boss or HR starts a review cycle for a period, and everyone with a manager gets a review. The person writes their self review, then their manager writes theirs with a 1 to 5 rating, and it is shared with the person at that point. The review shows how many tasks were due and completed in the period, for context. There is no 360 peer feedback or calibration.
What about goals and 1:1s?
A goal is the person's own to set and update, and their manager can read it. A 1:1 is a dated record between a manager and one person, with shared notes and next steps, visible only to those two. The manager can also keep private notes the other person never sees.
Does a manager see individual scores, or just company-wide trends?
Both. The team view lists each person's latest score with their tasks due and completed, the dashboard flags the lowest scores and the top performers, and the company trend chart shows how the whole team is moving week to week.
A performance number that's computed, not negotiated.
