Every team-management tool now has an AI feature on its pricing page. What varies enormously, once you look past the marketing name, is whether that AI can actually do something in your live data, or whether it's a metered add-on for drafting text, summarizing status, or building your own custom automation from scratch.
Wrkbase
Wrkbase ships one AI agent, included on Team at $8 per member per month with 500 actions included monthly, not a separate add-on to configure. Tell it what you need in plain English, it drafts a concrete plan against your real tasks, salary, and employee records, and nothing executes until you review and confirm it. Every action is re-checked against your role server-side at the moment it runs, not just when the plan was drafted, and every attempt, successful or not, lands in the same audit log a human action would.
It's a ready-made agent, not a builder: there's no no-code studio for assembling your own custom workflow. If what you actually want is to construct a bespoke automation yourself, the Zia Agent Studio or AI Studio options below are a different kind of tool for a different job.
ClickUp Brain
ClickUp Brain is a separate add-on on top of a paid ClickUp plan, $9 per user per month ($7.20 billed annually). It's primarily a drafting and summarization assistant, writing task descriptions, summarizing threads, answering questions about your workspace, layered onto ClickUp's own deep project-management structure. Whether or which actions it can take on your data directly (versus drafting content for you to apply yourself) isn't published in detail; treat it as a writing assistant first, confirm any action-taking claims directly with ClickUp before assuming parity with a task-executing agent.
monday AI
monday.com moved its AI to a credit-based model as of May 2026: AI blocks, the Sidekick assistant, monday Vibe (its app builder), and monday agents all consume credits at $0.01 each, priced and billed separately from your per-seat subscription. A 3-seat Standard plan, for example, runs $36/month in seats plus roughly $20/month for a base allotment of 2,000 credits, call it $56/month total before any heavier AI use. Cost scales with how much you actually use the AI, not a flat per-seat number, which makes total spend genuinely harder to predict month to month than a flat included allowance.
Asana AI Studio
AI Studio is Asana's no-code AI workflow builder, included with a base credit allotment starting on Starter ($10.99/user/month annual). It's a tool for building your own automated workflows and AI Teammates for things like status summaries, not a ready-made agent that acts on tasks out of the box, you design what it does. Heavier use requires the AI Studio Plus add-on ($150/month for 100,000 credits) or an Enterprise-only Pro tier with a much larger annual credit pool. Asana also added a direct Claude integration in early 2026 for turning a Claude conversation into an Asana project.
Zoho Projects (Zia)
Zia, Zoho's AI, is unavailable on Zoho Projects' free plan. Basic Zia (generative task descriptions, natural-language search, deadline-risk insights, translation) unlocks on Premium ($5/user/month). Zia Agent Studio, a no-code builder for assembling custom AI agents that automate specific workflows, is Enterprise-only ($10/user/month) and new for 2026. Like Asana's AI Studio, it's a construction kit, not a pre-built agent, you're building the automation, not confirming one that's already built.
Picking between these
If what you want is your own custom AI workflow, purpose-built for a specific repeated process, Zia Agent Studio or Asana AI Studio are actual no-code builders for exactly that, at the cost of you having to design and maintain the automation yourself. If you want a drafting and summarization assistant layered onto deep project management, ClickUp Brain fits, at a flat add-on price. If you want AI that scales with usage and don't mind a metered bill, monday's credit model does that, at the cost of predictability. If what you actually want is a single agent that already knows your tasks, payroll, and people, and will act on them the moment you confirm a plan, with every attempt logged, that's what Wrkbase ships by default, no separate builder, no credit meter, included in the one per-seat price. Pricing and features above are as publicly listed in August 2026 for each vendor, confirm current numbers on their own pricing pages before deciding.
